Shocking Pink - English 80s Zine

Shocking Pink was a feminist zine put out by a collective of young women in London, which ran from the late 1980s to early 1990s, billed itself as a “radical magazine for young women”. Part magazine with serious political coverage, part school-club magazine (if your classmates were hot-headed, deliciously witty, rebel grrrls) this magazine pre-dated riot grrrl zines with its fusion of sass, cultural appropriation and sprawling biro-made doodles all over the margins and type face'. Provo has something against capitalism, communism, fascism, bureaucracy, militarism, professionalism, dogmatism, and authoritarianism. Provo has to choose between desperate, resistance and submissive extinction. Provo calls for resistance wherever possible. manchester nunca deja de entregar cosas buenas. hablan del fanzine city fun en ese documental de joy division y despues de investigarlo descubri que habia (y hay) pila de fanzines mas por ahi/ manchester never ceases to deliver good things. they mention city fun fanzine in that documentary about joy division and after investigating it i discovered there was (and is) a bunch of other zines around.
