Blonde Art Books
Blonde Arts Books is dedicated to promoting exceptional publications about and by international artists. The site strives to disseminate information about self-publishing, book production resources, artist and exhibition opportunities, and funding.
Blonde Art Books curates book-centric exhibitions that examine the connections between traditionally exhibited artwork and the books, magazines, and other printed matter that inform and shape their conception. An example of this model of presentation is the recent exhibition The scenery changes three times at Schema Projects, Brooklyn, NY (March 2 – March 31, 2013) and Render Visible at Present Company, Brooklyn, NY. (September 30 – October 28, 2012).
As of January 2013, Blonde Art Books will have a permanent shop inside of Schema Projects, a new gallery in Bushwick, New York dedicated exclusively to works of art on paper.
In addition, we participate in pop-up bookshop events that feature new independent art publications by contemporary artists and small presses.
Established by Sonel Breslav in 2012, Blonde Art Books continues to collect and share independent publications about art, poetry, criticism, and cultural studies.
